Ugandan Youth and Creative Writing is a collaborative project by the Center for African Cultural Excellence, the University of Bristol, the Northern Uganda Media Club and Uganda Martyrs University. Through a a series of creative writing workshops, a mentorship programme, an anthology and teaching materials, we seek to empower young people from across the country to tell their own stories of what matters in Uganda today, sharing their experiences, observations, imaginations and vision of contemporary African life beyond the headlines and media soundbites. On this page, you will find information about the project team, the young writers who we are working with, the anthology and its associated events.
